Order Terms
By placing an order with Mercor Fire Protection UK Ltd, you are accepting the following terms and conditions. Our terms are non-negotiable and are exclusive to any other contract or buyer conditions unless otherwise expressly agreed upon in writing.
Upon confirming the price and availability of the requested goods, you will receive an email acknowledgment of your order. Please note that this acknowledgment does not guarantee the delivery of goods. We reserve the right to reject an order at any time, for example, if the items are unavailable or due to pricing errors. In such cases, we will issue a full refund.
Product Availability
Although we strive for accurate stock management, discrepancies may occur. If an error impacts your order, we will inform you as soon as possible and seek to resolve the issue.
While we do our best to ensure all orders are fulfilled, an order acknowledgment does not guarantee delivery. If the goods you’ve ordered are unavailable, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a full refund. Partial deliveries will result in the remaining value of unavailable items being refunded.
Pricing
Transactions on this website are conducted in GBP (British Pounds Sterling). Prices listed on the site may change without prior notice, and goods will be invoiced at the price prevailing on the date of dispatch. Any discrepancies, including errors or omissions, may result in pricing adjustments. Applicable VAT, at the current standard rate (20%), will be added at the time of invoicing where required.
Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
• Credit/Debit Card
• Bank Transfer (BACS/Fast Payment)
For card payments, goods will only be dispatched to the registered billing address. Bank transfers or cash payments allow for alternative delivery addresses once the payment is confirmed. Please note, we do not store credit/debit card numbers and do not share customer details with third parties.
Delivery
We aim to meet the quoted delivery times and maintain a high level of accuracy. However, circumstances beyond our control, such as severe weather or road closures, may result in delays. If your delivery is affected, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will arrange an alternative delivery solution.
Upon receipt, please check all delivered goods within 24 hours for any missing or damaged items. Any discrepancies should be reported in writing to customer.care@mercor-uk.co.uk. Failure to report missing or damaged items within this timeframe may void any claims.
Deliveries are conducted via reputable couriers, and a signature is required upon receipt. If no one is available to accept delivery, the courier will leave instructions for collection or redelivery.
Delivery Failure
If delivery is unsuccessful and no alternative arrangements are made, the goods will be returned to our warehouse. Any subsequent delivery attempts will incur an additional charge.
For non-EU deliveries, you may arrange your own courier service. In such cases, VAT will be charged as we have no proof of export. You may claim back the VAT upon presenting proof of export to HMRC. We are not responsible for damages incurred during transit by a third-party courier not selected by us.
Limited Warranty
All products purchased through this website come with a limited warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of invoice. Certain products may carry an extended warranty, which will be indicated on the product page. The warranty is on a ‘return to base’ basis, meaning that items must be returned to us for inspection before any further action is taken.
If goods are found to be defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the item. Shipping costs will be initially borne by the customer but may be reimbursed for valid claims. If the fault is due to misuse, incorrect installation, or other factors outside the scope of the warranty, the repair will be chargeable.
Returns and Cancellation Policy
Consumers, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, have the right to return goods within 14 days of delivery without providing a reason. The right does not apply to custom or bespoke items. Cancellations must be submitted in writing, and goods must be returned within an additional 14-day period. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Trade customers wishing to return or cancel must notify us within seven working days of order confirmation. A re-stocking fee of 20-80% (plus VAT) may apply, along with any applicable delivery charges.
Returned goods must be in original condition, complete with packaging and instructions. Failure to take adequate care of the goods or return them in an unsatisfactory condition may result in a deduction from your refund.
Liability Limitations
Mercor Fire Protection UK does not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Additionally, we do not limit liabilities arising from the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will apply to future orders. You are encouraged to review the terms periodically.
